Castle Unsleben offers you two holiday accomodations – the cozy and very original vacation-flat is situated in a building directly attached to the castle, also surrounded by the moat.
The other, very delightful accomodation is situated in the castle itself. It offers an historic and comfortably furnished apartment. Enjoy the many original features of its unique rooms, the like of which you will rarely find elsewhere. Sleep in the ‘Blue Room', whose walls and ceilings still bear the original 400 year old painting and decoration.
In our castle you will feel like thousands of miles and hundreds of years away from every day's life. Forget about stress, hectical days and noise. Just be our guest.
You will stay in between walls that are several centuries old, surruounded by a big moat, the “Schlossgraben”, with colourful fish in it. Your sight out of the windows goes above the water into the green. You hear nothing than singing birds in the apple trees, though cultural attractions for sightseeing are only a short drive away.

The flat – country-style - is equipped with all modern comfort like microwave, oven, sat-tv.
The double bedroom (1,80 x 2 m) is very cosy, offering you sunshine when you wake up. The bathroom includes a bath tube and electrical towel warmers. The living area is connected to a kitchenette and is very comfortable. You may choose from games or books to relax in front of the open fire of the fireplace.
Additionally you can find our round “towerroom” which accomodates one more person in a single bed.
Apartment
The apartment is on 70 squm, offering the “Blue Room” which accomodates 2 persons in a very individual bed (1,80 x 2 m) integrated in our library corner. A separate, modern kitchen equipped with everything you need for cooking and an eating table follows, as well as an architeturally very original bath room.
An additional small bedroom allows to accomdate two more people, if you wish it.
In front of the house you find your personal garden equipment. Nature just starts behind the water, offering breathtaking excursions into the Franconian landscape. Just let us know if we can assist you in finding out about tours and sightseeing, that suit you. Würzburg, Meiningen, Fulda and Schweinfurt can be reached within one hour. Frankfurt/Main is about two hours away, same as Nürnberg. For Munich you travel 3,5 hours.
The castle is privately owned by Christoph Count Waldburg Wolfegg, who has been living here with his family since the year 2000. It belongs to the most precious historical monuments in the area and is marked by an exceptional architecture from different centuries ( history).
